Using a USB camera and HandVU OpenCV is used to record hand movements and values determined by the x, y coordinates of the hand, the beams of the game "Pong" by hand movement controlled.

Die Software HandVU, implementiert eine Sammlung Vision basierte Schnittstellen, für die Erkennung der Handgeste.
Bei der Erkennung der Handgeste, wird die Hand in Realzeit erkannt.
Das Softwarepaket von HandVU besteht aus den wichtigsten HandVU Bibliotheken und mehreren Anwendungen, die mit dem Einsatz von OpenCV ermöglicht wird.
Wie im vorherigen Beitrag schon vorgestellt, ist OpenCV eine
freie Bibliothek für Bilderkennung. Die Bibliothek enthält eine Vielzahl von nützlichen Algorithmen für Tracking, Segmentierung etc.

the use of HandVU, I find for the realization of the project as very appropriate, since in addition to the hand gesture recognition, the hand position as x, y coordinate is determined.
Since the gesture recognition lot of resources consumed, I will not be the function of gesture recognition to complete.

The determined x, y coordinate values from the hand position, I will with the
x, y coordinates of the paddle-couple from the game PONG, which will then be activated by hand movement in real time.

OpenCV - Open Source Computer Vision Library

have in my further research I found OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library), which I will use for my other work on the implementation of the task.

OpenCV is an open source program library which was published by Intel researchers. The software package was developed for Linux and Windows OS and published in 2000. OpenCV is designed to help software developers to integrate stereoscopic image recognition into their products. The software allows depth information of moving and still pictures that can be detected by two camera eyes.

This could, for example, the range gesture recognition, which is also heavily on the dritte Dimension ankommt, verbessert werden. Intel erhofft sich damit auch Möglichkeiten der besseren Objektverfolgung und der Gesichtserkennung.

Bei OpenCV handelt es sich aber nicht nur um voll ausgereifte Lösungen und Funktionen, die sofort Einsatzbereit sind. Je nach Anforderungsbedarf, müssen die Funktionen dementsprechend angepasst oder ergänzt werden.

OpenCV ist für die Programmiersprachen C und C++ geschrieben und enthält Algorithmen für die Bildverarbeitung und maschinelles Sehen die rund 500 Imagingfunktionen enthält.

Im September 2006 wurde die Version 1.0 herausgegeben.
Die Stärke von OpenCV liegt in ihrer Geschwindigkeit und in der großen Menge der Algorithmen from the latest research results. The library includes, among other things
algorithms for face recognition, 3D functionality, hair classifiers, several very fast filter (Sobel, Canny, Gauss) and functions for the camera calibration.
The software also has an export interface for the software development tool Matlab.
